Seattle Balkan Dancers – Who we are and what we do

We are a group of people in the Greater Seattle area who have come together to promote, preserve, teach, and enjoy participatory Balkan dancing and related arts.

We meet at the Russian Community Center at 704 19th Ave E., Seattle, 98112, most Friday evenings at 7:30 to dance primarily Balkan line dances from countries such as Bulgaria, Greece, Macedonia, Turkey, Serbia, Croatia, Romania, and Albania.  An occasional dance from other countries may be played as well. The early part of the evening includes easy and basic dances that everyone can participate in regardless of prior experience. You don’t need a partner and there are plenty of friendly people to help you get started!

Seattle Balkan Dancers is a non-profit organization.  A  board of directors, elected by SBD members, has the responsibility for the organization.
